

Angela C. Dempsey is a Circuit Judge in the Second Judicial Circuit, which includes Leon, Franklin, Gadsden, Jefferson, Liberty, and Wakulla counties. Since 2005, Judge Dempsey has presided over cases in all divisions of the Court, including civil, criminal, family, and juvenile.
Judge Dempsey has presided over 12 first degree murder trials, and complex civil hearings and trials. She graduated with honors from University of Florida College of Law in 1993. Judge Dempsey also has a master’s degree in American and Florida studies from Florida State. She currently serves on the Education Committee that develops continuing education for all of Florida's circuit judges and the Florida Bar's Code & Rules of Evidence Committee.
Judge Dempsey is active in the Community with Leadership Tallahassee, Rotary Club of Tallahassee, Tallahassee Women Lawyers, and Gulf Winds Track Club. In 2018, Judge Dempsey was named one of the Tallahassee Democrat's 25 Women You Need to Know.
